Is reconciliation in the air? In January 2022, Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa announced the end of their four-year marriage in a joint statement on Instagram. The pair, who met at a jazz club in 2005, have been together for 16 years total and share two children together: 14-year-old Lola and 13-year-old Nakoa-Wolf.
“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring,” they said in their statement on January 12, per People. “And so we share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage.
They continued, “We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become…Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life our children. Teaching our children what’s possible. Living the Prayer. May Love Prevail J & L.”
However, all may not be lost. There’s some pretty telling evidence that the couple may be working things out. Here’s what we know.
Jason Momoa has been hyping the hell out of stepdaughter Zoë Kravitz’s new movie, The Batman. To be honest, this probably doesn’t count as evidence, considering the end of his marriage to Lisa shouldn’t change how he feels about Zoë, but the fact that he was jet-setting to the premiere with her boyfriend Channing Tatum at least suggests that their family’s bond is strong as ever.
