Lily Collins’s long, wavy brunette hair is one of her signatures—but she switched things up for her recent Elle U.K. cover, trying out an icy blonde pixie. And it’s the epitome of cool.

Lily Collins is ramping up promotion for the second season of Emily in Paris, which is set to hit Netflix on December 22, 2021. Collins plays Emily, a Chicago marketing professional who makes a yearlong move to Paris for her dream job—and along the way finds herself embroiled in love triangles, friendship drama, and lots of incredible fashion. It’s escapist TV personified, and Netflix users ate it up (not without having lots of opinions, of course).
The season-one finale left Emily in a dramatic place. She just hooked up with hot chef Gabriel, who happens to be dating her new friend Camille. That’s a big secret she’ll be holding on to in season two—but not for long, I’m predicting.
Lucas Bravo, who plays Gabriel, told Glamour he thinks his character still loves Camille but “also shares a lot of [passion] with Emily”: “There’s sexual chemistry, yes, but there’s more to it than that. I think he’s still in the process of understanding what’s going on.”
“As an actor, an artist, and a creative, the most meaningful gift is to connect with people through your art in some way,” Collins said about Emily in Paris. “It’s an honor to be associated with a project that provided people with some much-needed relief during a trying time when everyone was looking for a reason to smile and laugh. Not only did playing Emily teach me more about myself, but also about the world around me. I couldn’t be happier to be back in Paris for season two to expand upon those lessons, to continue to grow, and learn even more about this beautiful city and all of its character with Emily.”
