What to watch this week? Well, if you thought last week’s TV and movie offerings were jam-packed, then know this week is all that and then some. To start, Outlander is finally back after a two-year absence, and it’s got a little bit of everything: romance, sex, flashbacks, and new, mysterious characters. Oh, and plenty of drama. Meanwhile, HBO’s Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty will be the new show you’re talking about each week, while NBC’s The Courtship hopes to capture the Bridgerton audience with a reality dating show reminiscent of Regency-era England. There’s also four new hours of The Bachelor this week. And that only takes us to Monday. (See, I wasn’t exaggerating.)
We also have the ACMs, which move from their longtime home at CBS to Prime Video—the first big award show to go streaming. Mandy Moore gives a brilliant performance in a Rebecca-centric episode of This Is Us. Don’t miss Young Sheldon this week, which will give you all the feels. Survivor and Good Trouble also return, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel wraps up its fourth season.

Sunday, March 6
Outlander (STARZ): “It seems like 10 years ago,” executive producer Maril Davis tells Glamour of the two-year droughtlander since the season five premiere. But fans will be happy to know it’s been worth the wait when the sixth season—based off the sixth Outlander book, A Breath of Snow and Ashes—premieres. While there’s plenty of romance and sex, danger lies ahead too. (This is Outlander, after all.) The Revolutionary War is approaching, Claire is still dealing with the aftermath of her rape in season five, and there’s the arrival of the not-to-be-trusted Christie family, specifically patriarch Tom. There are only eight episodes in this shortened season, but each one is super-sized.
By the way, if you’re looking to have an Outlander-themed viewing party, Art of Tea partnered with Sony Pictures for an Outlander Collection to create two blends inspired by the show: English Rose (for Claire Fraser) and Scottish Highlander, a full-bodied, Scottish Breakfast-style black tea for Jamie Fraser.

Shining Vale (STARZ): If you like The Shining, or horror comedies, this is for you. Starring Courteney Cox, Greg Kinnear, Mira Sorvino, and guest star Judith Light, the half-hour series is about a family (Cox, Kinnear) that moves to a run-down house that looks more haunted than like a fun fixer upper. Per STARZ, “Pat (Cox) is a former ‘wild child’ who rose to fame by writing a raunchy, drug-and-alcohol-soaked women’s empowerment novel (a.k.a. lady porn). Fast forward 17 years later, Pat is clean and sober but totally unfulfilled. She still hasn’t written her second novel, she can’t remember the last time she had sex with her husband (Kinnear). She was a faithful wife until she had a torrid affair. In a last-ditch effort to save their marriage, she and Terry move the family move from the ‘crazy’ of the city to a large, old house in the suburbs that has a storied past of its own. Everyone has their demons, but for Pat Phelps, they may be real.” 10:20PM ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes and then one a week.
