Rams Player Taylor Rapp Proposed to His Girlfriend After Winning the Super Bowl

Apparently winning Super Bowl LV was not enough excitement for one night. Los Angeles Rams free safety Taylor Rapp made his winning night over the Cincinnati Bengals even more special by proposing to his girlfriend right after the game. She said yes, of course, and is now his fiancée.

After receiving a champion ring in the ceremony, 24-year-old Taylor Rapp got on one knee on the turf at SoFi Stadium and proposed to Dani Johnson in front of his team, friends, and family. ESPN shared footage of the proposal on its Twitter account that indicated Johnson did not see this one coming.

The newly engaged couple has been dating since they were in high school, per USA Today. Although the couple keeps it relatively low-key on social media, Taylor Rapp posted a sweet tribute to Dani Johnson on Instagram on her birthday last March.

“Happy birthday to the love of my life, the one person who holds me accountable and makes sure I stay true to myself no matter what,” Rapp wote in the post. “If everyone had just a fraction of your kind, compassionate, and loving heart, this world would be a much better place. You make me a better person every single day. Thank you for being my best friend and such a great partner to do life with.”

In December 2021, Dani Johnson posted her own birthday tribute to Taylor Rapp in honor of his 24th birthday, which also happens to be the number of his jersey, a golden birthday of sorts for athletes. “24 turns 24!!🎉 Nothin like a game ending pick to start off a great birthday!!” Johnson wrote in the caption.
