This Margot Robbie Doppelgänger Is Confusing Thousands of TikTok Users

The celebrity doppelgängers on TikTok are at it again!

This time the user in question has app users half-convinced Margot Robbie has a secret TikTok account she uses to trick fans into believing she’s a woman from Denmark. On February 2, user Emma Sofija—a computer science student with 12,200 TikTok followers—shared a video using the popular celebrity twin filter, which covers half of the user’s face with their Hollywood match, and it took a lot of casual scrollers a minute to realize they weren’t looking at one image of The Suicide Squad star on their For You page.

“Who did you get?” Sofija captioned the post, which currently has 3.3 million views, 473,900 likes, and more than 1,000 comments.

As I said, many people flooded the comments to share their awe and confusion. “Took me a sec to realize there was a filter,” one user commented, receiving 22,300 likes. Another wrote, “Are you sure that’s not you?” Sofija replied, “Only in my dreams.”

While this video features only the end result from the “celebrity twin” filter, Sofija previously posted the first part of the video with the caption “Walmart Margot Robbie.” Though she responded, “I wish,” when she got the result in that clip, 53,2000 users who liked the video see the resemblance.

Sofija is also an A.R. (augmented reality) filter designer who creates effects that can be used on social media apps like Instagram, including one that is intended to give users the hair and makeup of Robbie’s DC character Harley Quinn. How fitting!

Robbie is far from the only actor with a TikTok look-alike going viral over their similar features—and she’s not even the only one from a big-budget superhero franchise. Back in July 2021, Kate Shumskaya, a Russian model-cosplayer that goes by @mimisskate on TikTok, went viral for her resemblance to Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson. In that video, which has more than 100 million views and 11 million likes, Shumskaya wears Natasha Romanoff’s suit while casually eating sushi. It could easily be mistaken for a deleted scene:

Just think of the crossover potential!
