Salma Hayek Made a Rare Red-Carpet Appearance With Her Daughter, Valentina

How’s this for a family movie night? Salma Hayek brought her daughter, Valentina, as her date to the premiere of Marvel’s Eternals in Los Angeles on October 18.

Hayek wore a black and gold gown for the occasion, while her daughter opted for a polka-dot dress and black tights. Adorable!

Hayek keeps her family mostly out of the spotlight, but she recently posted a sweet mother-daughter picture to Instagram to celebrate Valentina’s birthday. “My precious girl, you are everything to me. Blessed be the day you came into my life to shine your radiant light Happy Birthday 🎂🎈Valentina!!!!!” she wrote.

“Thank you for being YOU,” Hayek added, before posting the same message in Spanish: “Mi niña preciosa, eres todo para mi. Bendito el día que llegaste a mi vida a iluminarla con tu radiante luz. Feliz cumpleaños Valentina !!! Gracias 🙏 por ser TU 💋” Hayek is Mexican American and her husband, François-Henri Pinault, is French. Valentina Paloma Pinault is her only child.

Salma Hayek celebrated her own birthday in September with her Eternals costar Angelina Jolie, who was kind enough to shove Hayek’s face into a cake for the occasion (it’s a tradition!). Absolutely here for the friendship between these two women, moms, costars, and badasses.

Jolie, too, made the movie’s L.A premiere a family affair, with five of her children accompanying her on the red carpet: Maddox, Vivienne, Knox, Shiloh, and Zahara. (The only person missing was Jolie’s son Pax.) Jolie even lent her daughter Zahara the Ellie Saab gown she wore to the Oscars in 2014. They both rocked the look, of course. (Which reminds me: My mom’s closet is due for a raid.)

Eternals hits theaters on November 5. Directed by Chloé Zhao, it also features Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Madden, and Kit Harington. Mark your calendars.
