The release date: October 15. Netflix confirmed the fall date in a creepy teaser video posted August 30. In the clip, we also learned Joe and Love have a baby boy named Henry.
And a full trailer dropped on September 17:
The cast is definitely going to include Victoria Pedretti and Penn Badgley. Badgley basically confirmed Joe and Love are going to figure some things out, so we can expect to see their faces again.
We’re getting new characters…a lot of them. Netflix revealed two of them on October 16, 2020. “Fresh blood joining You season three: Shalita Grant will play Sherry, a ‘Mom-fluencer’ who appears down-to-earth, but is actually a mean girl who only pretends to welcome Love into her social circle. Travis VanWinkle will play the wealthy Cary, who invites Joe into his inner circle,” Netflix Queue tweeted.
On October 21, 2020, Netflix announced that Scott Speedman, most famous for playing Ben Covington on Felicity, will be joining the cast. “He’ll play Matthew, a successful CEO, husband, and uncommunicative father. He’s reserved, mysterious, and has a tendency to be withdrawn…all of which masks a deep well of emotion underneath,” a Netflix Queue tweet revealed.
On top of that, Variety revealed on November 18 that there are 13 additional actors joining the cast, including Jack Fisher as Young Joe Goldberg and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Tati Gabrielle as “no-nonsense librarian” and series regular.
On January 26, 2021, we learned Scott Michael Foster has joined the cast as Ryan. Per Deadline, Ryan is a television reporter and single dad who “has overcome a history of addiction” and has “a controlling, calculating demeanor that he reserves for those closest to him and anyone who gets in his way.” Spooky!

You season 3 has finished filming! Showrunner Sera Gamble tweeted the news on April 23. “Today is our last day of shooting season 3,” she said. “Can I brag to you for a hot sec?”
Over the course of production during COVID, Gamble shared that they have “administered over 32,000 COVID tests” and had the lowest “lowest overall positivity rate across all comparable productions to date.”
“A year ago, we had no idea how shooting this season would be possible,” Gamble continued in her thread. “I mean…YOU doesn’t really work if there’s no romance or, y’know, murder-type contact.”
She added, “Hope you love the season when it gets here.”
And your first look is here. New photos show Joe and Love as parents. Serial killer parents!
